Default Pray for a friend in Greensburg, KS

A real good friend of mine that is in Wildlife Biology as well is from Greensburg. As most of you have probably heard by now the whole town was leveled by an F-5 tornado Friday night. The latest report says 10 dead and possible more that havent been found. The wind speeds were over 205mph. His parents are still living there and made it by staying in the basement but their home and everything they had is completely gone. My friend is scheduled to graduate this weekend and we have finals all this week but he packed up and went home to help with everything. I ask that everyone keep him, his family, and all of Greensburg and the surrounding area in their thoughts and prayers. They let people back into the town this morning to get what they can. I am planning on going down possibly this weekend to see him and help out as much as possible.

This is a reminder of how everything that we take for granted can be gone in just a few minutes.

Default Pray for a friend in Greensburg, KS

A good friend of mine that asked me to be a groomsman in his wedding this summer is from Greensburg, KS. As most of you have probably heard by now, the town of about 1500 was completely leveled friday night by an F-5 tornado that killed 10 and had >200mph winds. His parents still live in town and were home friday night. They rode it out in the basement and came out with just cuts and bruises. My friend is scheduled to graduate this weekend with what I am going after, a Wildlife Biology degree. I ask that you include him, his family, and the whole community in your prayers. This is just a reminder of how fast everything we take for granted can be gone.

Unfortunatley, now we are starting to understand what the second quote means, and... what the first quote says about us.

Prayers sent for your friend and everyone affected by the tornadoes. Weather can be a terrible thing at times.

Will most definitely keep the people who have been involved in this in our prayers.

Prayers said for all those that live in that town. What devastation.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

    Prayers on the way.......

I remember back when i was in little league, we were to play a town 30 mmiles to south of us.....the night before the game an F3 nearly wiped out the town....BUT WE STILL PLAYED THE GAME !! I can still remember the coach driving us around afterwords to look at all of the damage......it was unbeleivable......the one thing i remember was this ine place where a house stood.....everything was gone, slicked off right to the ground, except the toilet was still standing there.......
