    Default This guy is CRAZY

Can't believe this man actually believes we should all refer to GOD, as ALLAH.
I'm sorry, but MY God, the Father to Jesus Christ, the ONLY God------- is NOT going to be confused with ALLAH, the god of murdering, terroristic Muslims.

It sounds to me like his faith is not in Jesus Christ and God's grace to us through Jesus Christ, whatsoever, but in good works. That's why it's so easy for him to say, it doesn't matter what we call God.
Now there's a priest who doesn't believe the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Yes God has many names, such as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The Alpha and Omega , etc, until he personified himself, in his only begotten son Emanuel(Jesus.)
Jesus is my Lord and my Saviour.

Dont hardly think calling God allah is appropriate. Have to agree with Steve that God does have many names, and I dont think it is really so important what we call him so long as we have faith, but this seems to me to that those who suggest to call him allah are putting forth a confusion factor with those of islamic religions which in my opinion would lead to or fall into worshipping false gods. Not very wise to do in my opinion.

This may not be on topic but unsure, I don't believe all the religions should be intertined like it seems he wants to do. However I believe in all 3 major religions they all have there own place. I follow christianity more than the others however I am not strict with my beliefs, (don't worship 5 times adaymuslim, don't harm living things hindu, don't make it to church every sundy christianity etc.) I personally am against the criticism of other religions as Andrea said just those people who commit those acts in there mind are doing what there superior being wants them to.

Muslim and hindu dont worship the real God therefore they are worthy of critism..Ever notice their gods ask them to sacrifice themselves for them but our God(the only GOD) Sacrificed himself for us..

Allah is another name for God. The Muslim Faith and the "actions" resulting from those beliefs are completely separate issues. Tragically, God's many names have been used by all races to justify their acts of violence. Jesus is my Savior.....I just can't always understand the Grace issue(turning the other cheek and praying for our enemies)

In doing so you will heap coals of fire upon their heads. Read it, it's in the Bible. The word Christian means to be Christ-like. Jesus asked God to forgive those that were nailing Him to the cross. It's what Apostle Paul speaks of in 1 Cor. 13......love. He later says in 1 Cor. that we should do everything out of love. Praying for our enemies is no easy task but we are instructed to do it. Jesus said if we can't forgive those that sin against us, then God will not forgive us when we sin against Him. The human nature is to "get back" at those that hurt us and this is nothing but pride. Once again Jesus speaks out against pride in the book of Matthew (I believe in chapter 18). The disciples came to Him asking which of them would be the greatest in Heaven. Jesus calls over a little child and tells them, (and I'm paraphrasing)..."unless you become as this little child and be converted, you will not see the kingdom of God." What did He mean? Loose the pride and be humble. You see, there are things that aren't easy to do as a christian but we have to hold on the what Apostle Paul said....."I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me."

htephil........we won't know everything that's why we must trust in God to help us through those things........hang in there buddy.

Yepper, I'm a hangin'.....and I just read the verses about heaping coals in my daily devotions...that's what made me think about God's amazing grace. I always struggled with wondering if forgiveness was real if we didn't then choose to trust the folks we've forgiven...so I asked my Pastor. He shared that Christ forgave everyone including the Pharisees but that Jesus didn't trust them as examples found in Word describe His dealing with their plots. I guess praying for the Muslim nations is good practice for our upcoming presidential hopefuls ?????

That's some messed up stuff there.

It's sad that a man who has probibly dedicated the vast majority of his life to the service of God doesn't have a clue of what he's talking about.
Luke 22:36 He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.

    Was Jesus really a passivist?

Being Christ like and loving others does not mean you have to be naive and trust them.

As far as what you chose to call God, I dont think it matters as long as you truly have faith, however as I said before, using the name allah and that being the name used by islamics who do not accept Jesus Christ as our saviour, I think that there is a potential there for confusion and misleading.

I agree! I am Catholic too! If this knucklehead was in my area, I guarantee that he would not be a bishop for long!

I believe what peopl actually call GOD isn't important, as long as we are referring to the same GOD - BUT when you call him a NAME already associated with another beliefs version of god, it is wrong.
I'm sorry for this, but the one thing I don't like is Muslims being cast as all being murders in Allah's name. The murdering terrorists are a TINY minority, there are hundreds of millions of peaceful muslims in the world. The comparision I have read about, is that the radical terrorists are to muslims as the KKK is to christianity..

Jesus is our Saviour. He is the Saviour of the whole world. There is no other name by which man can be saved.....none !!!
Jesus is the lamb of God, the one who paid the price for our sins, he is the bridge between man and God, there is no other.
Man, was separated from God through the sins of the world, and now, because of Jesus, we have an intercessor. His name is Jesus, Emanuel, there is no other.

You can be sincere all you want, but you can also be sincerely wrong

    Ditto Buckee's post.

Allah is not my God. My God is not Allah. Period.
