Seems to me that when Jesus taught us how to pray that he included the line "Thy will be done" not "MY will be done" I've been told God answers prayer with a Yes, No or Wait. Your prayer was answered, just not the answer you wanted to hear. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to get you to understand that praying for some thing and giving an offering does not equal that you get what you asked for.

Yep, I agree with Gary. Maybe God has a better buyer in the works for you. Hang in there, and try again.

It's kind of like when your car breaks down, and you curse under your breath, and wonder why this happened to you, but unknown to you, there was an accident further down the road, that God just saved you from being involved with.

Now forgive me if I am reading wrong into this, but it reads like you simply tithed in order to get an answered prayer ??? Might explain the unfavorable results........if there is any question in your faith, you need to get that straightened out first, and the blessings will follow........tithe to help further God's kingdom, not expecting a return........put God first in all things, and then put faith in your prayers........be obedient and follow your convictions.........the rest will start to fall into place.......

No I did not tithe to get the answered prayer. I sowed a seed of offering but not tithe. I was still planning to tithe off of the income once it sold. The money that I gave before that was just a seed of faith

    Matthew 6:3
When you give to the poor, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

    2 Corinthians 9: 6-15
6 Remember this: The farmer who plants a few seeds will have a very small harvest. But the farmer who plants because he has received God's blessings will receive a harvest of God's blessings in return.
7 Each of you should give whatever you have decided. You shouldn't be sorry that you gave or feel forced to give, since God loves a cheerful giver.
8 Besides, God will give you his constantly overflowing kindness. Then, when you always have everything you need, you can do more and more good things.
9 Scripture says, "The righteous person gives freely to the poor. His righteousness continues forever."
10 God gives seed to the farmer and food to those who need to eat. God will also give you seed and multiply it. In your lives he will increase the things you do that have his approval.
11 God will make you rich enough so that you can always be generous. Your generosity will produce thanksgiving to God because of us.
12 What you do to serve others not only provides for the needs of God's people, but also produces more and more prayers of thanksgiving to God.
13 You will honor God through this genuine act of service because of your commitment to spread the Good News of Christ and because of your generosity in sharing with them and everyone else.
14 With deep affection they will pray for you because of the extreme kindness that God has shown you.
15 I thank God for his gift that words cannot describe.

I am not very fond of "name it and claim it ministries", because they take away from the true meaning of why we give in Jesus name. We should not be giving to receive. If we do, we give for all the wrong reasons.

Thanks Buckee. There are some good scriptures I have never read before in there, and I got something out of them.

But I do have to disagree with your final point. I know that the Bible says give and you shall recieve. And also that you reap what you sow. So by the principles of Gods word then by giving and sowing a seed for a specific thing then confessing that I have it in Jesus name. I will.

I have relisted the item and already have more watchers then I did before and its and been on for about 24 hours.

Could you show me in Scripture where it says we should be sowing a seed (of monitary value) for a specific thing that we desire, and then confessing that we have it, in Jesus name ?

    Please

I don't see where Matthew 6:3 (When you give to the poor, don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.) comes into the picture here.
You shouldn't be giving because you want, but giving because you want to.

Well no there is not a specific scripture that says that. But look at what I said before that. Give and you shall recieve. Then read Mark 11:23-24. That should clear up the 2nd one for you

    Mark 11:22-24 and 25

22"Have faith in God," Jesus answered.
23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."

How you managed to connect this scripture, with sowing a seed (of monetary value) for a specific thing that we desire, is a bit confusing, don't you think. There are no seeds mentioned in this passage or even tithes for that matter.
The seed that is multiplied in the New testiment, is refering to new believers. They are the new branches formed from the seed of faith that we plant, by what we say, and do, and where and who we give our monetary seed to.

No that scripture was answering your question about confessing that we have it in Jesus name.
And the whole give and you shall recieve thing was what I was saying about sowing the seed for it.

I'm not saying God won't answer your prayers, and provide for you.

Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Remember that God's timing is always perfect timing.

I think the "give and you shall receive thing" is meant more to mean give all of yourself unto God, and you shall receive eternal life.......but God will bless us in this life as well, but we must put him first above all things.......
