Favorite---Standing bear...for some reason, I always shoot good on one.
Least favorite---no contest--any freaking turkey!! Strutting, facing, facing away...you name it. I X'd one Saturday at 27 yards...you would've thought I had won the lottery....![]()

Oh boy...that is a toughy...
My favorite is probably any deer, buck, doe, spike, fawn, Rinehardt, McKenzie, Delta, it doesn't matter, I always shoot them pretty well.
Without question, my least favorite is anything white. Goats, sheep, I always miss judge them...by A LOT! I always hit them real far forward too for some reason.![]()
Love the goat, hate the gator.
I like the turkeys and Javelinas, but my favorite would have to be the mountain lion.
I love javelinas.
Supposedly, there will be a white goat at my next shoot, Saturday. I'm looking forward to it.
The first target I ever missed completely was a bedded buck at 35. Tend to remember that everytime I draw down on one, now...LOL.
I like the gator. The moose is something else, also.
My wife's lucky that there's not a course open year around down here...![]()
i really dont have a favorite but i have one i dont like..
that standing bear i dont like at all.. i just can not get where the scoring rings are on it and i usually i ened up shooting it low in the 8 ring.. heck i will take a turkey or raccoon any time over that standing bear...
Favorite, most any deer sized target, heck, some of the African deer have AWESOME aiming points. For worst, have to go with the turkey, especially facing away!!![]()
The moose is great. After half a round of shooting bears, deer, sheep, and goats, you have to give the distance estimate on the moose a real going over. So darn big it's really easy to under estimate.
I don't like the blasted leopard. All the spots look the same, and even after picking out the proper aim point, I lose it once I draw. Grrr.
Least favorites: hen turkey, standing bear quartering away (love it head on), alligator
there is one target I don't like and it will get me every time I see one. The bedded deer....
I will shoot under it every time...
Like them all, favorite would be elk from the elevated platform. My least favorite is the standing bear, can never seem to ten that one.
Like Cannuck, my favorite is the Moose- by far!
Know what you mean on the distance. Last year they had one set in a field, shooting uphill thru tall grass(in front of target). The thing was 63 y, but it looked more like 47. Unless you hit the vitals, you couldn't see where you hit, and if you missed, you would not hear that tell-tale thump of the arrow hitting the target. That thing was a blast- it was the first target of the 3rd course and alot of people just kept getting back in line to shoot it again!!!!
