    Default Changing a string loop.

Is it against the rules to change your string loop if it wears out/breaks during competition? My brother had this happen to him and I was thinking about caring an extra sting loop with me incase this happens to me.

no its not against the rules... you can change the string loop during competition if you see its about to break or has broken...

hopefully you will relpace it before it breaks.. however if you have a string loop break then you should get a equipment failure ruling and then be able to fix it and then get 1 end to sight back in for indoor..... its 15 mins to repair or replace the equipment failure ....

for 3d im not sure but i have seen them break during a shoot and i have also seen the guys just tie them right on and keep on shooting... but i believe that they also have an equipment failure ruling and you are allowed to repair it..

this is why its always a good idea to know how long your d-loop is in total length before you tie it on.. then you can carry several already pre cut and all you have to do is tie them on and burn the ends down....

its also usefull info to know the specific height where to tie you d-loop on at... by keeping a log book with this and other info in it will help you when you least expect it...
