It's almost identical in the specs as the XTEC. I suppose there will an another identical WTEC in 2007. The new advance Tec risers look bad in my opinion. At least the XTEC looks decent. It's a good shooter. If you like your CyberTec, you'll like your XTEC. Identical except a slightly longer riser and 1000 limbs.

I don't understand why Hoyt doesn't come out with entirely new bows every year, like the other companies. All they do is replace what they had.

We'd be over 100 if you woulda kept this in the Hoyt post. I'll sell you mine. All decked out, $550. You pay shipping, which is overnight air, so that'll be another $6000. Hoping to get around $500 or better when/if I trade mine.

guys the differance between the Xtec and vtec is the new grips on the Vtec and the vtec does have 5 fps in speed... but that shouldnt make any differance for most of us...

some guys are going to like the new grips but i prefer the small side panels like they have had for the last 2 years...

as for me i like my razortec but i am leaning towards an xtec or a new ultratec for hunting and 3 D...

What I want to know is how the XTEC went from 310 FPS to 300 FPS. The only change on it is the Alpha Shocks. Can they rob it of that much speed?

I'm going to shoot the Outback (2005) and the new Switchback and see if they are a lot better than what I have. If not, I'll keep the XTEC and just make the changes I thought of making.
