Well if you mean nationals as far as NFAA Indoor nationals, i have shot in three of them, and for me i dont shoot worth a crap, i shot my best score at state last year and then went to louisville for the nationals and froze up, i had other things on my mind, my sick brother, but that is no excuse, for some reason i freeze up like a frozen turd and cant even make the shot go off, now 3d is a different story i have no problem there i am always relaxed, but indoor got to me so bad i am not shooting indoor at all this year except for the ammoman league we have here as soonas i get my new limbs in, since i cracked one last week, as far as toughness 1000's of the best archers in the US are there so that answers that question.

i have shot in many big tournys some of them were with martin...3 NFAA Indoor Nationals , 5 Iowa Pro/Ams , 2 MidWest sectionals , Iowa games and 3 State indoor tournys and 1 ASA 3D shoot.

by tough do you mean tough competition or the nerves and anxiety that comes with shooting big tournys...

as for tough yes you will be competing against the best in your class in the country.. this is super chance for you to compair your shooting to the best in the country and it also allows you to see the best shoot...

this can play big dividends because it exposes you to many differnt types of shooters and maybe help if you need it.. the pros are there for you ..ask questions of them they can be a huge source of info...

but by tough do you mean nervous and anxiety of shooting in your first big tourny yes its tough.. the best thing you can do is tell yourself to forget about the shoot and just relax..dont worry about your score just try to make the best shot you can on each shot and once the arrow is gone forget about it and go on with the next..

the best i did was at the 2002 NFAA Indoor Nationals . i was competing for my second year in Adult Male BowHunter Freestyle and i realized that there was no way i was going to win ..

lets face it if your shooting 300 50 X and the best are shooting 300 59Xs then your pretty much out of it.. oh sure you could get lucky but i just became a realist.. what this did was allow me to enjoy the experience and shoot very relaxed.. i ended up shooting 300 50X and 300 52X and i tied for 11th place out of 109 shooters in my division.. i was so happy that i shot my advergae and slightly above...

now that i have shot in a bunch of tournys i still get the adrenaline pump from shooting the big ones but the nerves have calmed down a bunch...

just relax and shoot your best shot and have fun . enjoy the experience and watch the big boys shoot they are like machines...
