    Default tanning a deer hide

I've never even tried this, so please help,

I know I can get a kit, but I also heard that I would need to soak it in water. Anybody know what I should do

Thats a good link, I think Im gonna try it myself. My only question is where can I buy the chemicals? Will the kit cabelas sell work the same? Is the bacterkill just an acid?

    Thanks.

It clearly states on my web pages that the instructions I give out is strictly for the product I stock and cannot be used with another manufactures product. Any kit you buy from another vendor should supply you with complete instructions. Although, not as in depth as mine , but suitable to get ya through it.

Just put the hide in the garbage today. I dont know what went wrong took the hide out of the bacterkill to hang it and the hair was just peeling off. Next time I'll just leave it to the pro's to do it. Thanks for all the help, It was fun.
