    Default backer boards for mounts ?

    I got my mount back from the taxidermist but rather then hang it on the wall I want too hang it on a board of some sort what sorta ideas you have too mount a deer head on I have been through the catalogs and web pages but didnt see anything that made me wanna get it right away I thouihgt about using a tree log like 24 inches in diamater and about an 1 inch thick and putting like a shiny bar finish on it and then putting my mount on it ont he wall anybodys ideas would be awesome let me know and pics would be very cool too

    I have oak panels on my bears. Your idea sounds pretty nice also...I have a brown tround mound on a piece of hemlock that looks nice. I saw a deer mounted on a moose antler that was really nice.
