    Default HIDE MAINTAINANCE

    I HAVE A HAIR ON DEER HIDE AND A COW HIDE AND WAS WANDERING IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO TO KEEP THEM PRESERVED AND LOOKING NEW AND TO KEEP THE HIDE SOFT.MINE ARE STILL IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE,BUT I HAVE SEEN A FEW THAT DRIED OUT AND HAD HAIR FALL OFF AFTER A FEW YEARS.

    Keep em dust and moisture free and out of direct sunlight and thats the sun light that comes through the windows of your house. Also keep em away from fireplaces and wood stoves. I vacuum mine from time to time. Any tanning oil on the market can be used to keep the leather side from drying out.
