Whats the best bug repelant?

I know from first hand experience that when spring turkey season comes around, so does everything that crawls, bites, stings and burrows...

Down here in south central IL, the darn ticks, and turkey mites are out of control on those warm spring days - especially when you are chasing turkeys.

What do you use or recommend using to keep those pests off of you? It just seems like there isn't enough deet in the world to keep them off of you. The only thing i know of and use is deep woods off with 40% deet, and you have to darn well bathe in it every hour- which gets expensive...

any other product out there that you guys use or recommend?

No stinkin bugs seemed to work real well when I used to use it. I have not used it much since getting a thermacell, but I still have a couple cans of the stuff somewhere.

I use a 2-3% permetherin dilution on clothing for ticks. Works great and will last a good long while. On my skin I like Repel 40. It's a 40% DEET aerosol I get at Wally World.
