Thats it for me! Here In Oklahoma your allowed 3 birds but only 1 a day! Plus why would you wanna edn your season so QUICKLY?
Just one. That's our state limit so any more would get me in trouble.

Same here. We're only allowed 1 gobbler per day in Alabama but we can take a total of 5 during the combined fall and spring season!!!![]()
Two birds with one shot....and I had to turn myself in......I had a valid tag for one male bird....so I dusted a great two year old with a huge beard, and nice weight to him....well, I ran up to get him, I saw a jake doing the death dance (70) yards away......that darn bird caught a pellet in the head from my shot, it ricochet off a tree, and hit him in the eye...(1) darn pellet.....I called Conservation Officers while I was in the woods......we worked it out...I was a deputy sheriff at the time, and they couldnt believe I would turn myself in......I told him, right is right, wrong is wrong.......I was sick to my stomach I didnt see that bird in the woods that morning.....Im very cautious before the shot now....al
No more than one. My son has taken two with one shot and it was his first two turkeysThe second bird was merely a stray pellet like Darts though. Will was aiming for only one.
You're a good Joe there Dart. Glad it worked out.
I never have taken more than 1 bird with 1 shot. There certainly have been times I could have. We're only allowed 1 gobbler/day and 3 for the season in Mississippi. I have lost some shot opportunities because I didn't have a clear shot. Last year I had 7 gobblers in front of me and had to wait on them to walk off. Fortunately the last one was slower than the rest. He sure tasted good too.
It used to be different in Mississippi about 10 years ago but I only want 1 at a time anyway. I have taken more than 1 in a day in some other states where it was legal. I didn't take more than 1 on an shot though. I'd rather take 1 at a time because the fun of turkey hunting is the hunt, not the kill. I'd rather kill 1 and then go work another one where it's legal to kill more than 1/day.

Heading back to camp to celebrate with a cold beer ain't bad either. I'm with Rhino in his opinions, they are just too dang much fun to hunt and when we get lucky enough to take one, it's time to sit back, relax, reflect, and enjoy.![]()

same here....i've shot at and killed one gobbler...
The fellow that I mentioned had the strutter coming to him.He was all fanned out drumming .The other 2 were behind him about 15 yards. He could not see them and fired .1/2 the load hit the 1st one,the rest went through his fan and boom 3 dead birds.
I've never killed more than one with one shot.
