    Default Patterning Question?

Pattern my Winchster 1300 with Federal Flitecontrol #6 3 inch shells ... I was getting from 15- 23 pellets pellets hitting kill zone every shot at 40 yards. My question: is that a good pattern or not?

That's plenty to kill a bird. The question I have would be is your pattern fairly even and dense? Any clue of how many BB's you got in a 10" circle?

The more you have in a 10" circle the better off you'll be cause it will give you a little room for error if you flinch, turkeys head turns at the last second, etc. A dense pattern is important because some patterns have gaping holes in them and if by some chance that turkeys head moves and winds up where the hole is in your pattern, you missed lol.

Any pictures by any chance? We could probably help ya a little bi tmore if we saw pictures bud.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind... I dont have a chance to scan it in the computer for you but I can give you what I count myslef. The paper turkey head target is (10 inch by 10 inch) there are (75 pellet holes outside the turkey) (67 pellet holes on the turkey) (23 of those hit as kill hits).... Does this help at all

I'll make a third of that motion. Put her in a case and don't let her out till hunting season. She's plenty lethal, and if she's kept pent up she'll be plenty angry. Take out that frustration on an old tom
