All I'd add is that sometimes a gobbler won't always gobble from the evening roost. It can depend on a number of factors including the weather. Therefore, just in case this happens... or if your timing is off... carry a locator call like an owl hooter. That way, if you don't hear gobbling, give a few short hoots and see if he shock gobbles. Then pin him down for the morning. Good Luck!

It sure is easy getting up the next morning knowing you have roosted a bird....
