Default SORE Shoulder but think we\'re ready

The wind finally died down enough to pattern shotguns today. Had four to pattern and I sure am worse for wear now. Geez, don't know what Nitro Ray puts in those Nitroammo shells but they HURT!

First to pattern was my old trusty Remington SP10 using Nitro Ammos 4x5x7 Hevi-shot. I'd added Tru Glo sights so I took three shots of regular Remington loads to get the aim right. The pattern below is from 40 yards. A tick off to the right but dead bird notheless. Belive I'll adjust the tick later when my bruises heal.

Next was my son's Winchester 1300 pump using NitroAmmo's H378 12 guage 4x5x7 Hevishot. This one hurt too as I had to shoot 4 times to get those tru glo's right. But it ended up fine at 40 yds. Gotta aim right at the toms head for this pattern.

Next, was my new 10 Gauge Double Black Powder. All the literature said to limit the shooting distance to 25-30 yds, so this is at about 26-27 using 80 grains of fffg powder and 4x5x7 1 5/8 oz copper shot. Was pleased with the pattern, hope to kill my second bird this year with this ol' boy.

Glad that's over with and it's a good thing the adrenlin of shooting a tom blanks out the shoulder pain or I'm sure I'd flinch and miss like crazy.

Nice pattern!!! I wish the heavy shot would have done that well in my gun. What chokes were you using?
Ya'll really need to invest in a Limbsaver Recoil Pad or just use the strap on shoulder pad!!!!
No need in fealing the pain if you don't have to.

Yeah, I need something, think I dang near cracked my collar bone on one shot from that 10. The chokes for the 1300 are Rhino 660, for the SP10, it's a Rhino .720. The Personi Blackpowder has no screw in chokes, I believe they are improved cylinder and modified. I only shot the right barrel, which would be the improved cylinder.
