New Tube, now what shot?

I recently bought the Rhino .695 choke for my 835 and while I was making the trip to the range to try it out and the Nitro ammo I also took some of the other boxes of ammo I have acumulated. Among many others I did shoot the new Federal H-weight and the new Win x-tended both in 3" 5 shot. The Win patterned the best of these two at 40 yards. The Fed pattern was lousy. Keep in mind my choke constriction is pretty open compared to yours but it seemed the Wins would work great with your choke size. Of course we all know each gun shoots a bit different. Just my .02. What ever you try DO NOT USE HEVI-SHOT!!! CNC does not reccomend hevi-shot with their chokes! I would assume that goes with the Federal Heavy-weight loads as well! An email from CNC, told me Winchester X-Tended is ok to use in their chokes! Try the winchester supreme's 3.5" #6, or try this guide! Look for your gun and see what CNC says to use!

i also shoot a nova and i have been getting great groups with my 3 inch 2oz #6 shot from winchester supreme double X magnum ammo
