All riight boys, Just to get your juices flowing... This morning was a horrible day here in SC. raining, winds from 25-35mph. I literally rolled back into bed this morning when I saw the forcast... but I got up and went anyway. Finally stopped raining just as light appeared, but the wind still continued to howl. Walked forever...heard nothing. Finally spotted a group of bird walking down a powerline. Circled around them and never made a call. There was 3 hens, one jake, and a Tom. Then hens walked past me at 30yds and the tom was nowhere to be seen... turn out he was layin the smack down on that jake as well as three other jakes that came out. He finally started to follow the hens and thats where he met Mr. Hevishot at 33yds he jumped straight up and went straight down and never flapped a wing. The jakes and hens took off, but run jake stopped at 53yds. Boom!! Another one bited the dust and we GRILLIN TURKEY BREAST TONIGHT!!!! Wahoo!! Final totals Jake - 13.5lbs, 4in beard, 1/4in spurs. Tom -3yr old - 19.5lbs, 9.75in beard, 1-1/8in spurs (and the sharpest ones I've ever seen, they honestly feel like a pencil fresh out of the sharpener)
