How well does the chufa work? How many years does it return? Wheres the best place to buy it?

Does chufa work ???? yes... u need to help the birds find it....this is what we did anyways.... after it matures... lets say October... this was in MO. we raked up the nuts out of the ground in a few spots so the bird would find it.......Did it return.??? for us no...........best place to buy it......??? not sure..think my brother bought it from TNWF website....

Most Feed and Seed stores carry it.

Any field you plant can only be replanted in Chufas three consecutive years. It will come back a second year if the birds don't eat it all. But plan on planting it every year and decide on how you are going to rotate your plots. If you plant them all with chufas, in three years you will be sorry.

I've heard alot of good things about it, be glad when i'm able to get access to some more private property so that i can try it out. Lost our hunting club a few years back and havent been able to get into another worth while.

Chufa is a perennial and you will most likely get a second years growth from it. I've heard of some people getting 3 or more years. Turkey, as well as deer and waterfowl love it. Cabela's offers 5 different brands to choose from in their Spring Turkey Catalog.
