I'm sure most of you have heard me talk about my turkey hunt with Realtree Pro-Staff Member Steve Foate this weekend. Things all came together and we scored on a World Record Jake on video!
It's no big tom, but it was a blast! The weather was terrible. It snowed on Friday night (didn't stick to the ground) and was 30 MPH winds. Wind chills were a balmy 10 degrees this morning. The turkeys wouldn't show themselves much at all and wouldn't gobble. After a setup that wasn't producing this morning, we headed over to my cousin's sap shack at about 6:15 AM. After a short sit, about 15 minutes, three jakes came in. The third one was the biggest and I dusted him at 15 yards. All on video too, the shot scene is great! Steve's brother got some awesome photos too that I will share with you guys later on. I'll take some pictures for the entry thread later on. Not the biggest, but I'm still on happy hunter!
