    Default How many are counting down?

    Are any of you NYers or other out of staters counting down till your May 1 turkey season opener? 5 days to go from today! I really want to find a gobbler fo opening morning, but the weather has sucked and I don't want to spook them in the woods, anyone have any suggestions? I'm probably going to go out tonight and have a look around and a hoot or two,lol Good luck to everyone on May 1 or even before then!

    Good luck Turkeygirl! My first day is May 1st too, but my oldest son will be going out for his very first hunt May 30 for the youth day hunt! I don't know which date I am more excited about! LOL

    Just did a weather search for Dalton, NY. Looks like rain.

    Check the open fields I guess. I've got a "rainy day" spot picked out. We'll see what happens.

    Our opener is tomorrow. I still gotta countdown a few more days til I can hunt.(Wednesday, thursday, then FRIDAY its turkey time.) i didn't realize it was that close.
