Bummed out in Indiana

It appears I will have to miss the Indiana turkey season this year. I spent 7 months buying gear and practicing with my calls. The problem is I don't have a shotgun. I have the money but since I'm not 18 I can't buy one and my parents aren't to thrilled about the idea of me having one so they won't use my money and buy it for me. My second problem is where I live. Howard County has a turkey population that appears to be thin to nonexistant. My family doesn't know anybody who hunts turkeys or anybody that has wild turkeys on their property. Oh well, maybe next year.
