I use 125-gr Spitfires for deer hunting. This is going to be my first year trying to get a bird with my bow, but I've been bowhunting for 6-7 years now. Would these same BHs be good to use for turkeys?

Yes, in fact many hunters would tell you that mech heads are best for turkey hunting........they tend to have a wider cutting diameter and this is a most due to the turkeys small vital area.
I have seen the "Gobbler Gillotine" used once on a video....It was awesome...the blade has a 4" cutting dia. and for a refrence to how big that is...a standard pot call uses a 3 1/2" dia surface and the call it'self is just over 4" overall dia...they shot one bird and it's head fell to the ground and it just stood there for a few seconds before it fell....UNBELIVEABLE!!!!!
I am going to use the same thing that I used for deer.NAP Shockwaves 100 grain. If they perform on turkey's like they do deer, the bird does'nt have a chance.
i heard that they have a speacil turkey broadhead might want to give them a look...but i wouldnet see why they would work just fine if you hit them in the right spot!!!
Big Bucks...thats the ones I was talking about...it is unbelievable!!!!!
I've killed them with muzzy and a rocket sledgehammer. I also have some rocket hammerhead 4 blade. IMO large mech. is the only way to go on turkey.
I like Rocket miniblasters they shoot great out of the DB blind. I have shot muzzy's before just like the larger cutting dia.
Steelforces has a long/ wide Turkey broadhead that features forward facing serrations at the rear of the blades. This supposedly causes more drag and shock as the arrow pierces the bird body. I think it works fairly well. I took two birds with them in 0'4. Used Magnus broadheads the next year, shot two birds and lost them both. Could be shot placement but I went back to the Steelforce for '06 anyway.

The brand or style of broadhead is not nearly so important as just being able to hit what you're aiming at. Any broadhead on the market will flatten a gobbler if you can put it where it belongs.Shoot what you are using and comfortable with.
