best choke to use?

Going for my first Spring turkey this year, and want to know what choke to use with my winchester 1300?

You'll get tons of different responses to this question, the best thing to do is try as many out as you can. Many chokes are available at sporting goods stores that are relatively inexpensive. You may just want to do a little research on several choke tubes and pick one, then shoot different shells throught the choke until you find a combination that suits you.

For me, i shoot an 870 express super mag with a .665 Mad Max and 3.5" #6's.

Here's a list of chokes that have shot well for me in three different Wincheter 1300s. Comp n Choke .665, Hastings .665, Tru Glo Strut Stopper(Banser) .665 and the HS Strut Undertaker .665.

Some liked #5 shot, Some liked #6 shot a some shot both equally well. None of them performed well with #4 shot in my guns.

Your results may very well vary from mine. But in three different 1300s these all performed well enough to kill birds to 40 yards with pattern to spare.

My BPS gives AWESOME patterns with an undertaker.

My Buddy uses one in his Nova and gets almost as good.

My daughter uses a Jelleyhead H.S. in her 870 and it performed much better than the undertaker.

I'd recommend trying the undertaker and then pattern several shot sizes. The difference is amazing between shot sizes. My BPS loves #6, my buddies nova loves #4's.

Yep what he said! For me I use a 835 with a Comp-N-Choke XXX full and Winchester Supreme HV 3.5" #6.
