Id say center mass when puffed out and strutting and infront, or on, leading wing bone when not.
Frontal shots are a no brainer...
That should catch the vitals...![]()
YEP,, definately as GrnMntMan has suggested CENTER MASS,, should do the trick....
Good Luck with thise birds..they sure are trickey...![]()
Base of the wing with a broad side shot, just below the neck on a frontal shot and straight up the poop shoot if shooting from behind.
The way I understand is if the bird is facing you shoot for where the neck and feathers meet, broadside aim for where the wing ataches to the body and if it is faceing away, not strutting shoot for middle of the back and if strutting, the bullseye.
I'm thinking of hunting with my bow also, but only after I get one with my shotgun.
Exactly as Mr. Wiggly stated.

That's where you put it to scare the bird off so some knob can shoot the one behind it.
When shooting a turkey with a bow I have found that when you wait till they are walking away or have there back to you it is the most lethal shot and you hardly have any trakcing to the trukey it also doesnt mess up any meat at all just wait for there back ... strutting or not just shoot em in the back chances are you break there spine... its a very hi percentage shot .
