ANOTHER NEW GUN FOR MY SON!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we went in and got Cole's(son) new turkey gun today.
I got him a Youth Rem. 870 Express 20ga. It fits him perfect and is light enough for him to hold on aim without the use of a stick. But of course we will be using shooting sticks anyhow.
We haven't got to shoot it yet, it was raining all day and he went to a friends house, although it was hard for him to leave his new best friend
We will get it out tomarrow, put the turkey choke in and pattern it and let him shoot some light loads to get used to it. The only thing I forgot was the Tru Glo sights for it.

Madhntr. I have the same gun for my son, try shooting the Hevi Shot #6 through the factory choke. It holds a nice pattern out to 30 yds.

Are you refering to the modified that comes with it or the Rem. turkey choke?

My daughter has the same gun and we've had excellent results with a hasting .566 ext. turkey choke and Fed. #6 lead. Dead turkey to almost 40 yards every time. Although we limit her to 35 yards with the #6 shot. We're going to shoot some Hevi-13 through it this spring and see if we can stretch it out to 40.

my sister just got the same gun with a deer barrel but she is yet to get a smooth bore barrel, they are sweet guns!
