    Default NWTF banquet committee

How many of you are on your local NWTF banquet committee? If you are-- how many years have you done it & how long did it take till you burned out ? This is my 2nd year & it seems like all groups---When the work starts there are generally just a couple guys who roll up their sleeves & do the work. It's frustrating at times.

Our chapter is pretty small about 160 -180 attend the banquet. But we made the Golden Gobbler last year. CB

I was on a committee for two years for one chapter, then someone started a local chapter and I was on the committee the first year for that. Let's just say I ended up having some issues with what it appeared the NWTF director wanted and that gave me enough frustration that I no longer participate on the committee's, in fact I haven't even renewed my membership since. Just left a really bad taste in my mouth.

    Bob......

Sounds like our local is about the same size as yours.....maybe a tad bigger. I wish I has the time to be a committee member. Our chapter's monthly meeting starts and ends before I'm done working, most nights. Maybe, someday, when things slow down a bit...........

howdy bob,i've been on the committee for ten years,on the state board for 8years.like all things 80%of the work gets done by a small group.we try to keep things simple, the rd does not run our committee nor our banquet, never has never will.we just completed 6th annual stilltarget shoot yesterday,my project, great time lots of fun.i get burned out,but after the banquet, the committee gets together for cook out and just fun time.

I've been on our committee 10 years now.
I'm a Silver Life Sponsor on top of that.
Yes it is hard to keep interested when people come to the banquets & do nothing but B_t_h!

I'm thankful, I'm able to be involved.
