    At a distance I'll call as little as I need to so long as he continues to close the distance. I do a lot of single "clucks" and short "cutts".

    To "seal the deal" I'll mostly "purr" or "cluck-purr" very softly.

    The soft cluck purrs and yelps are good for the pressured toms and the birds that are just out of range but if you get a hot bird i like to make him show off. Cuttin' hard and loud aggressive yelps will get an ole boy fired up and i love watching them run in double gobbling and doing the strut/run!!
