If you were going to try one choke for a Rem 12 spst and shoot Win 3.5" #4 HV's what choke would you purchase....I currently shoot the super full that came with the gun using Win 3" #5 hv's and am pleased with the loads but just decided that I would like to try a after market choke...thanks for the info and good luck this season [ QUOTE ]

4's carry some extra energy downrange. But, usually, the lack of pattern density at a distance over-rides that. If you're stuck on using 4's, I'd suggest getting a Comp-N-Choke XX-full (.675") tube. You'll need a bit of an opener choke for the bigger pellets.
