..........and if I don't have one roosted (which I usually don't), My favorite time is between 9:30 and noon.

I'd say it depends. Early season I like to be out there early morning until around 10. But usually I hunt later season and have had good luck later in the day. Like 10a, until around 1pm or so..
Last year the best time of the day for our crew was in between 4 and 5 in the afternoon. All 3 of us bagged our birds in between that time period the first and second day of the season.
mid to late morning is an awesome time for me. Also at this time a lot of hunters have given up for the day. Which leaves the woods less crowded.
