    Default Two in one shot?????

Does anyone know if it is legal to kill two gobblers with one shot in MS. Haven't done it yet Just wondering, I've heard a couple of different things. The law states "one gobbler a day" thats what I go by. I know it is legal in some other states.

If your reg states "one gobbler a day" then I would say that it's illegal to kill 2 in 1 shot in the same day. JMO.

Personally I hate that 1 per day law. That is crap.

It is against the law in MS to kill two with one shot. I don't know why anyone would want to do that anyway.

There are many turkey hunters who would like to get a chance at 1 per season.

Not legal in MS to kill more than 1 per day anymore. It used to be back in the days when we had a split season with one day off between the 2 spring seasons. Back then it was 3 per season not to exceed 2 per split. Didn't matter if you killed 2 birds in one day or not back then as long as you fell within the other limits.

The law was set to be one gobbler per day, 3 per year on the year following one of the Primos Truth series videos when Cuz took a youth turkey hunting and the youth hunter killed 2 birds in one shot on the video. Cuz went on to explain at the beginning of that hunt that in MS it was legal to kill 2 gobblers in one day. I don't know if that is why MS changed the rules, but it sure was strange that it was changed to the 1 gobbler per day limit before the following spring turkey season opened.

I'm definately showing my age now.

I did that on my very first turkey hunt ever. It was 1 hour into the opening day of the season, lol.

I had the opportunity for two hens on one shot this past fall in PA, we are only allowed 1 bird either sex in the fall, so I passed on that shot.

I personally dont like the 1 shot 2 birds thing ... I have almost done it on accident I was about to pull the trigger and that other bird popped its head up I didnt even know it was there ... fortunately I didnt have to deal with it ... In Iowa if you shoot 2 birds with one shot its legal but takes a while to explain ... a lot of times it just happens.

Same here in PA. We have the one bird a day limit, too. Even with the new second spring gobbler licenses it is still limited to 1 bird per day. In fall turkey only one bird can be taken that whole season.
