Looks good. Now go bust a long beard with it!
Looks good is an understatement, that thing looks awesome. Where did you get that stuff? was it hard to do? Very nice job, alot cheaper then going out and buying the camo model.
Nice looking job you did on your gun

I got it from http://www.over-wraps.com It's the same application that people use to camo their trucks and stuff. I paid $30 plus shipping for a 2' x 4' piece. Cut the size for each part and apply it to the gun, the adhesive keeps it in place but it is easy to readjust it. Once you have it wrapped how you want it you take a squeegy (supplied) and you go over the area with it, this seals the adhesive so it will stick for good. Took me less than an hour to do my gun last night And I would say that I used up only about 20% of the label they sent me so I still have alot to camo other stuff if I want.
They've also got several different camo patterns to chose from.
Looks great! I really like the Max-1 camo pattern.
Looks great!
That looks great, i am going to get some for my 870. Thanks for sharing.
Looks good.
Looks great Gary!
I'll agree. It looks great. A few questions though.
Is that a composite stock? I wondered how it would stick to that surface.
How did you cut the pieces for the stock and forend? One continuous piece or one for each side?
Did it tend to bubble/or wrinkle around contours in the stock?
How did it do over the parts that were checkered?
Thanks.
vagobbin...
Is that a composite stock?
It's a wood stock, cheap 870 Express version
How did you cut the pieces for the stock and forend?
Forend is one piece, cut a piece slightly larger than I needed, applied it to the forend and cut away the access.
Stock is 2 pieces. One main piece that covers the whole thing, but with the contour of the pistol grip I had to make a cut which left a V area on both sides open. Second piece was used to patch the V areas.
Did it tend to bubble/or wrinkle around contours in the stock?
Did not have much problem with a regular contour, however when it's a complex contour (both convex and concave) then I did run into some slight wrinkling. In complex countours I would normally make a cut and overlap or cut away the access material. The most difficult part (and where I do have a few minor wrinkles) is around the pistol grip area.
How did it do over the parts that were checkered?
It seems to have done well over the checkering areas.
great job
Looks real good!
