    Sounds like it's likely a very nice tom. As far as flocking. Usually the turkeys break up in the spring. Frequently individually or in small groups. They will often roost together and break up as the day goes on.

    It's not unusual to see individual tracks this time of year.

    Jim, not an expert on tracks, but know that toms like to parade alot on roads, which will leave drag marks in the dirt from the wing tips. At least that will let you know there are toms in area.

    More times than not a male turkeys middle toe will be longer than 3 inches where most hens are not.

    6 3/4 inches.if thats the toe length.u better take a big gun to kill that bird
