Anyway, Im booooot to get dressed and hop in the ford! It isnt really getting light here until 6:30 and ive already been up an hour! Im a bit excited. Hopefully I will at least hear something this morning.

I went out last weekend and heard nadda. I didnt see a single bird. Im trying some public land today. Ive always heard good reports about this place and because its Thursday, hopefully most of the hunters will be at work.... Should I feel guilty for wishing that? Naaaa.

Anyway, I had the realtree Itch and needed to see if anyone had killed anything else. I picked up a new slate last night, I cant remember the model but its the Primos that looks like a Slot Machine. Bass Pro had them for roughly $17. It sounds pretty good! They also had the Ole Yeller on sale for $11!

Anyway, enough rambling! Good luck gang! Hopefully ill bag a bird. Ill get online later and let you know how it goes......

It is 6:41 am and yeah i do know. Just woke up at 6:30 and heard thunder so i figure I could hear them this morning. Sounds like I have more then what I thought.

Yep, they were roosted just up the hill from me. I was set up by 5:15 and the gobbling started just before 6:00. I only had a few hours to hunt and those pesky hens took them over the hill.

Jeramie I believe that is the Primos Jackpot. I went and hit 3 public land sights yesterday evening, No gobbles, Nothing. Gonna have to find a way to get in behind that housing community where all the birds are. I am trying to find out who owns the land. There are a ton on that land that backs up to the housing addition.

Yep Hutch, its the jackpot...

I struck out again! I called up two hens (about 300yds apart). I havent heard a single gobble! Most people in this area are saying the same thing! I wonder if it has to do with the dry and HOT weather. We are suppose to break 90 again today and are still 10"+ behind on rain....
