    Default Bird Down, Team 21

    Great hunt this morning!! Got a really nice bird.

    I had been watching these birds on a farm I have permission to hunt. I knew where I wanted to set up, and it would be close to their roost, so I got in there early.
    5:20, decoys out, set up, totally dark still
    5:35 heard the first gobble, still really dark.
    5:50 birds really gobbling
    6am- start flying off the roost, about 75 yards east of me
    6:05 Cluck a few times, can just see birds strutting in the field about 75 yards away.
    6:10 Some more clucking with the mouth call
    6:15 7 gobblers, full strut marching down the hill right to me
    6:20 Boom, 25 yards, shot what I thought was the biggest/dominant bird. Immediatly 4 other jumped on him to work him over.
    7am- Home/ shower
    8:15 at work, saved a days vacation..

    Nice big bird.
    Spurs both 7/8 inch
    Beard you could argue 10, I'll go with 9 15/16
    Weight 21 lbs 5 oz
    Score- 58.6875 for team 21!!!!!
