Default baiting for turkey vs food plots

kentucky hunting and trapping guide say "Hunter can not hunt on a baited area while bait is present or with in 30 days after bait is removed. A baited area is any place where grain, feed, or any other substance that can lure in game is located. Turkey can be hunt though in an area where grain or feed exist as the result of legitimate agricultural praccties, or as the result of growing or manipulating a crop for wildlife magament.
Do you see hunting a food plot the same as hunting over bait? I think there is a difference and do plant and hunt my food plots.

I for one do not see a difference. I think it's simply a matter of semantics. Both bait and food plots are an unnatural source of food designed to attract and concentrate game in a particular area.

And I see nothing wrong with hunting over bait or a food plot where it's legal.

The difference is that food plots are grown there and an animal can feed there anytime they want. With bait it is being place strategically so that when an animal does come in, it is already with in effective shooting range, and the bait is only placed at certain times. It is not there 24/7 every day.

Not all feeders are timed. Here's a pic of one of the many protein feeders I use. It's free choice so the animals can eat as much as they want anytime they want.

Now there's a neat feeder... ,, you did a great job on the design and construction of that thing.....

I'm staying out of this topic,, I already have too many lumps about the head from personal preference debates/opinions like this topic....

But I sure do like the design of that feeder..
