I am really kind of new to turkey hunting...just been going about three years now and I was wanting to know how to roost a bird. Any tip on that beause i knew where they were i wouldn't have to run all over the hills. So please offer me some tips.

I like to get in an area I know birds roost, then just listen for them to fly up. When it's dark enough i know one wont come, once in a while I do a fly up cackle. Good luck

I personally havent had much luck roosting birds but I have had great success in the morning listening to where they are ... if I know the lay of the land pretty well I can just about tell where they are at and wlmost what tree they are in ...

i pretty much have an idea where the birds are roosting on our prop. they change trees from time to time but dont go very far.

if you dont know exactly where they are roosting just try to stay a little behind them a listen for them to fly up, they sound like a plane going up.

pretty much the same as mossy.....some propertys are more wide open i get on a high vantage point and watch for birds traveling to roost and try to set up near there....
