My 4 Day hunting Trip!

Well guys, me and a couple buddies left to hunt out in Southwest Oklahoma for a few days. We Left on the 20th and came back a Day early on the 24th.

We had a AWESOME time and saw TONS of birds. Plenty of Gobbling going on.

Here is a Picture of us on the side of then road cause we ran out of gas. This RV is a 33 foot trailer, its a 2006. My buddy just bought it about3 weeks ago! Sure is a good thing we had gas cans in the back for the generator.



After we got set up at our camp we went out to roost some birds and found were they were roosting. After a Good night sleep, we were up at around 5 am to get ready for the morning hunt. We got in there and tried to shock the birds with a coyote calls and sure enough boom right there they were. We got in there and set up for the hunt. At around 6:35 am birds start flying down. There were three big toms about 120 yards away. As I sweet talked them with my Milliams Custom call I noticed a bunch of hens scratching around in the hay off to my right. After I noticed that one of the hens was bearded, I turned and got my gun ready. After I steady my gun I sqeeze the trigger and there she lays in her tracks. It was a gr eat hunt. I got this hunt on video with a lil handy cam camera my buddy took with him.

she had a nice 7 inch beard. And she is getting mounted!




Later on that day, my buddy and I were walking around and saw some good birds sturttin alone in a wheat field. We automatically knew these birdss would come to the calll so we got set up and I hit my Alex Custom call and here they come running. The bird closes the distance to 27 yards and he let the bird have it.

We got our birds tagged and headed to camp to clean the birds. After cleaning the birds we took a nap and and woke for the evening hunt for my buddy. We get set up in a big canyon were the birds like to scratch around. No more then 15 minutes of sittnig there and a Few calls by Alex Williams calls here come a bbunch of hens. Well once again we find a beared hen. I got the camera set and my buddy raises his gun and BOOM he smokes another bearded hen. This is 3 birds all in one day, and two of them were bearded hens. UNREAL!





The next morning we get set up near where we were set up to double up on those toms we had seen from the morning before. Once again the birds fly down really close to us, and aas I strike Alexs calls the birds just Gobble. And never stop gobblin. As the birds close the final yards my buddy and I shoulder out guns and let them have out number fives right in their face. Down they both go.



Its now time to change loactions so we go to cAnton oklahoma. On the way there disaster strikes. My buddy runs his BRAND NEW TRAILER in a concrete pilliar.





We just cutt off the junk and keep driving to out other part of the woods. After we get therer we roostsome birds on public land! First thjing the next morniing we get set up and ready. Like always the birds fly down right by us and this jake sees our decoys and comes in really quick. My buddy said Im gonna take him. Even though there was a Tom about 80 yards away.. I wanted him to wait but he wanted to shoot. and He took the jake. It was his 1st public land bird!
