He's an avid turkey hunter in the extreme sense , but with the worst luck .
He's out there everyday he can trying to get ol'Tom but never has he got a decent tom in close . 2 years ago he whacked a 11lb jake , which somehow ended up in abit of a scuffle along the edge of a beanfield swamp . I don't think that I,ve ever seen such an ugly skrawny turkey , all wet and muddy . We all had "abit" to say about this "chicken" and he took it all in good fun .
Just the other day , he had his big chance and took a long shot at a nice tom which put the tom down. Really excited he ran over to his prize and put the tag on the tom's leg . He went back for his camera and gear ...and just his luck...when he turned around , the tom was up and running ..with the tag still on his leg .
( Now , if that was me , I wouldn't say a thing about this to anybody )
As he was telling the story , snickers became full blown laughter...again he took it well and was back out the next day with 1 tag left ...lmao

hahahaha, is that a true story...??? i know thats happened during deer hunting... lol. i heard a guy shot a mule deer. put the tag on it. and then put his gun inside his rack
to take a pic
and when he turned around to take the pic it was runnin away with the tag and the gun in his horns. thats some bad luck...
