I bought a slate over glass in a cherry pot last season. The best call I own without question!
He makes great calls and better yet he is a geat guy with great values. Lot's of fun to deal with. I got to get one of those calls for sure! How can I get in touch with him? (LOL)![]()
Thanks Job for posting that photo...and thanks guys for the kind words. Here's a photo of three Canarywood calls I finished up over the weekend.

What a beautiful call! Keep up the great work Alex. Nice to see you back on here with us.
Wow, beautiful work! I wonder, for any of you who have one, do they sound alot better than the ones like Ol' Yeller by knight and hale? That's what I have, not sure i like it too much anymore.....I don't seem to get the calls I want out of it, tone wise...
TG IMHO you can't beat the sound of a handmade call...![]()
I will say this ,, you won't be sorry investing in one of Alex's calls.... I love mine...![]()

TG - the answer is yes. I have one of Alex's field grade calls and it an incredibly sweet sounding call - his field grade versions look and sound better than any of the mass produced calls that I have owned (and I have used the K&H Ole' Yeller as well as many others)

I have 9 of Alexs calls and they are all great looking and sounding calls.I honestly can say i do not go in the turkey woods with out one of his calls
TG, In my opinion as a hunter not as a pro staff member you can't beat a hand made call for sound. Alex tests all of his calls himself before he ships them to the customer. If he would not hunt with it he will not sell it!
Thanks for all the kind words folks...I am glad to be back on RTF and to answer your question TG...most any custom call will out do a mass produced call. The reason is the call maker puts time, effort and dedication into each and every call. Like Marc Truedell says...I test each call before it goes out....it it does not sound the way I think it should...I then use it to heat my shop in the winter....NO JOKE!!! I will not even give a call away that does not sound right....The Lord gave me the ability to turn these calls...I speak of the Lord with all my heart to all those who will listen...The Lord has also given me the ability to hear the sounds made from these calls...so if it's not right..it's not leaving my shop.
God Bless
My grandson went turkey hunting with his uncle [My son Marc] last year for the first time. They called in a 23# gobbler with a William's Custom Call. The mount should be back soon.
Alex made me a call with my grandaughters picture in it. THAT is one of my most prized possesions.
Quality overpowers advertising anytime. No mass production here. Custom is where it is at!
