I seen on the rebate flyer they have out they got a 3 1/2", 2 1/4 ounce load of the Hevi 13 coming out. Has anyone seen it anywhere? I would love to try that in the SBE

Be sure to check the velocity on your Hevi 13 loads. A lot of them only run 1050 fps. That should make a dandy paper target pattern. But I'd like my turkey loads moving a bit faster.
I'd like to check them in my SBE too!!

definitely check the speed
I shot the hevi shot shells and I hated them!!!!!
They shot terrible out of my 935
Most turkey loads in that size of shell (3 1/2") and payload capacity are shooting in the range of 1100-1200 fps tops. By shooting hevishot, it packs a much more hevy duty punch than lead does with the same loading, so I wouldn't worry about the loss of 100 fps.![]()
i like the hevi-13--they shoot good in both my 935 mag and 11-87--but not good with the choke that came with the gun 935--white shell 3"..going to try the new 3 1/2
What choke were you using in the 935?? constriction?? Thanks

Just wondering why strut?? im going to guess range? you would think even though slow there going slow they still would hit plenty hard.

Not sure. But I could speculate. The lower velocity will give better patterns. Most of the competitors in still target competitions are using 1000 - 1050 fps loads. Granted, the Hevi13 pellet is 10% heavier than lead. But it's going 20% slower than the HV lead loads. Not sure where and how those curves cross in respect to lethality on a turkey.![]()
