    Default Plaques for turkeys

Just wondering if any of you have plaques you mount your fans/spurs/beards on - if you buy them or make them yourself? I had the privilege on Archery Talk to find a guy who does his own plaque making and he makes probably the most unique turkey plaques I've seen! They are done from pine, cut in the shape of a turkey feather, and the way they are done, the grain of the woodsl ooksl ike banding in the feathers! Well he wanted some shed antlers and I had two from a rattling set I found and I traded them to him for 2 of his plaques. They should be hear tomorrow and I'll post a photo. They are very unique and I'm definitely hoping this year to have a beard and spurs to put on one of them. Anyone else have any unique plaques?

I've had the fan, legs and beard in my freezer for about 3 months waiting to get done.

Is there a time limit on how long they will stay good in a freezer?

I have a store bought plaque that has a place to mount the beard and fan that looks pretty good. Still trying to come up with something creative to do with my spurs

There's a fellow down the road a little piece from me who does the neatest plaque I've seen. His name's Dennis Kozora. Heck of a nice guy and an awesome artisan.

Here is a rug/hanging that a local taxidermist makes that I think looks pretty sharp. She tries to match the felt backing to color of the feathers. The only downside is the size as it is over 50 inches wide and 40 inches tall.

Very nice displays. Love the rug. I make my own plagues but they are not as fancy as some of these ones!
