Default recoil pad for turkey guns

I bought a sims recoil pad for my 835 and I was blowed away at how much it helped the recoil of my gun .The 3 1/2 felt like a 2 3/4 turkey load I just wish I had got it earlier saved alot of pain.

Put a Sims on my Encore .12 ga last spring.Got a black and blue shoulder after firing 6 test patterns with the regular supplied pad.The Sims made a world of differnce in felt recoil after I installed it.

When I bought the 835, Sims did not have a pad made for it. Do they now, or do you have to fit one to it?

I'm glad the sims pad worked so well for you all. I put one on my 870 a few years back...I can honestly say I didn't notice much difference in "felt" recoil.

Nope! I just bought the one for my 835 and installed it! Use a little liquid soap on the screwdriver to get the screwdriver in and out of the rubber pad! This way you wont tear the material.

When using my 835 for turkey usually it's one and done so I never really feel the kick. When on the range though some kind of pad is a must. I can imagine hunting ducks one would be awesome as well. How difficult are they to install on the 835?

If you buy the one designed for the 835, two screws out, two screws back in, DONE! Like I said though, use a little liquid soap on the screwdriver shaft in and out to avoid any tearing while removing or installing the screws.

10201 is the model number you want for the 835, its the Precision Fit Recoil Pad.
