    Default Wood Haven Calls!

Anyone use woodhaven turkey calls? Heard they are top of the line!

Been looking at some of the Pot Calls they offer. Looks pretty good.

Hunting buddy has one of the Wood Haven calls, cherry crystal I believe. It sounds great! They are one of the best! Take a look at www.lightsoutcalls.com , Wendall makes a great custom call also!!

Woodhaven makes a nice call. But, IMO, by the looks of the prices......they are awfully proud of them. I know lots of places you can get "one off" customs that sound as good or better for 1/2 the money.

Agree with Strut, they are good calls but for the price you can buy 2 or 3 just as good calls for the price of one WH. Turkeys aren't much for brands, if it makes the right sound they will come in.

I really like their diaphram calls. I've had Eastern birds respond to them better than any other diaphram call I've used before and I've used a lot over the years.

However with that said, I prefer using a slate call over any other type of call. I simply can make more realistic turkey talk with a slate call than any other type of call. I don't own a single Woodhaven slate call. All of the ones I use are either Cody slate calls or custom made slate calls. I'm looking forward to tricking some Easterns and Rios this year with one of Strut10's slate calls. That sucker sure does sound good.

I've got a few of their diaphrams but they are proud of their products.

I love the Van Cise, Pollard, and Red Wasp diaphrams. The Van Cise is unreal. It may cost you up front but I can sound like 4 or 5 different hens with it.

The Cherry Crystal is awesome too. Yea, you can buy two or three other cheaper calls but I have not heard too many that match the WoodHavens calls.

You know, cheap shotgun shells will kill a turkey just as dead as turkey loads. But, most of us use high priced loads for insurance. That is my view of the WoodHavens. You can spend less on several calls or just buy a few of the best. You don't have to carry as many.
