I have a few different guns. The one that shoots the best is also the one that weights the most. I like my mossburg 835 Ultimag with a Kicks .680 choke. It is an awesome gun. You can know get it with a thumb hole stock.

It really depends on what your price range is. There are a lot of choices out there these days. They will all do a good job with the right choke/shell combination.

If I were considering one myself I'd go with a 12 ga., 3 1/2" magnum shotgun that was both light in weight and designed to reduce recoil. The short list of shotguns I'd consider would be priced into the 4 figure range.

    Well said.

On a budget, I'd opt for the Remington 870 Super Mag at just a shade over $300.

On no budget, I'd get a Winchester Super X2 at right around $750........still not too bad as 3 1/2" autoloaders go.

If i was serious about turkeys i'd go with a mossburge 835. I've got one and i love it. I wouldn't put a lot of enphasis on type of shotgun though. A single shot 12ga 3" magnum will do the trick. You can pick one up at the local wally world for less than 150 bucks. Or try the pawn shops and sometimes find one for less than 100 bucks. Get them in close (30 yds or less) and just about any combination of 12ga and 3" magnum shell will do the trick.

I think I'd have to go with a Mossberg 835 as well. It will def get the job done for turkeys and the price is right and the camo patterns are good.

I forgot to tell you that the only thing that I DID NOT LIKE ABOUT MY 835 ULTIMAG WAS THE TRU GLO SIGHTS THEY SUCK. I FIXED THIS WITH A SCOPE I AM NOT SURE WHAT ELSE YOU CAN DO OTHER THAN GETTING BETTER SIGHTS.

Dont forget the Mossberg 535 you can get that gun brand new at that price or lower camo and all. I think you would have a tough time finding the same in a super mag.

For $350 in OHIO you can get a 535 with a turkey barrel and a rifled deer barrel. since im guessing by your screen name thats where you are. Check the dealer out on Gunbroker.com

Not sure if they still make it, but I bought a Mossberg 500 turkey special. It's woodland camo like the earlier 835, the factory XX-full choke tube patterned better than an Undertaker, only thing is it will only shoot up to 3" shells...that's fine with me! I don't need all of that extra recoil just to get a couple more BB's in the dang bird..it's DEAD already!! I'm just razzin all ya'll shootin those 3 1/2"'s...
