Acting Weird!

Opening morning this morning, I sat up at the edge of a ravine ive been hunting for 3-years. I cant cross it because the far side is the neighbors place.

This morning they flew down and I got them to gobble for about 20-minutes. They strutted back and forth forever and then started moving away. I started heading their direction just to see where they were headed. They just kept moving away....

I really need to get them to cross that ravine!

Any ideas? When I setup at the edge they are roughly 75yds (in a straight line) across. If you walk it its much farther. Its really steep. Im not sure if they will ever cross it???????

alot of times a turkey wont come across ravines, creeks,,....ect. but i wuold to hunt on the neighbors property or set up closer with decoys

Dont know Jeramie, did they have hens with them? Maybe if they did, the hens led them away from the competition, your calling.

They are headed in that direction for a couple of reasons. Hens, strut zone, or a recently plowed field that birds like to gather in the morning. Your going to have to make your property more attactive to the birds, so the hens will use "YOUR" property instead of your neighbors. I'd check and see what he has done to his place that's making the birds head that way. Also, if possible, can you set-up between them and where they want to go? This way here, they will be headed right to you after they fly down in the morning!!
