Well kinda new, last year was my first year and my brother put me on some birds and he said there was a jake in the group but i did not see him so i was skunked last year. It was awesome to be able to hear them calling back though. My season runs from april 23rd to may 6th. Hopefully i will be able to connect on one.

I have 3 or 4 mouth calls, 2 slate calls, a shaker call and a push button call. I am starting to get used to the mouth calls but my favorite so far is the slate calls, they are easier for me to use.

What kind of calls do you guys like best?

Slate or box are my favs. But I always have a mouth call in.

Since I am not able to use a mouth call I have become adept with one certain box call. I also use a few slate and other friction calls using various strikers. But this box call is first out and last in the vest.

I like my box calls, but i always hace a diaphram handy.
