Two Down on North Carolina Open

What a morning. Got set up on a ridge this morning. About 6:30 made a owl call and heard one gobble. The bird gobblied in the tree about 10 times before hitting the ground. Once on the ground i made a few yelps with a mouth call and had them coming. They came in struting about 70 yeards away and let out two gobbles. At this time a hen flew down from the tree like 30 yards from us. I thought this make mess up the hunt. Sure enough the birds walked right over to her and didnt say a word. They will down a hill or i thought they had left. I got my call out and started cutting and perring. They gobbled like 15 yards on the other side of the hill and they were coming. As their heads came over the hill....... 1........2...........3....BOOOOOOOOM. Two turkeys down. The tope picture is of my buddy Andrew. This is his first bird!! so i was extremely excited to get to be there for it. They arnt the biggest turkeys but it was a BLAST and thats what its about. GOOD LUCK TO ALL !!!
