    Default Rain and gobblers...

I didn't go out this morning...didn't hear the bird roost or gobble last night. Could heh ave roosted elsewhere if that was him that flew off the roost late yesterday? Think he'll be back?

We are suppose to get rain and thunderstorms today? I'm at work so I won't be out till this evening...but wondering how it'll affect them? I know...chedk the fields so I'll probably go out at 6:30 tonight rather than 7 and check the fields. Any helpful tips? I'm not sure whether to sit on the gravel pit or go in the woods to try and roost him since I don't know where he'll be roosted tonight...I think last night he may have roosted on the other side of the swamp

Hope that hen drags him back here...

The rain wont bother turkeys,it seems when it rains they always go to open fields. I hunted this morn and did not hear a thing, too hot and humid for me and lots of gnats.

It was drizzling lighlty when my Dad got his bird, and it was in a valley in the woods, a big grassy area about 100x150 yards wide. They came out of the woods. Not sure whether or not they were coming from or leaving the woods, but during second season in a downpour the sll the hens hit the woods pretty quick.

    Take care,
    Nathan
