Fall season...

[deer huntin k-man]

i will take one if it walks by my deer stand but i will not be out specifically for turkey. i can take one bird of either sex

Our fall archery season started on the same day as deer (Sept 27) and I have been mainly out for a deer, but if a turkey happens to come by I would probably stick him.

Probably next weekend I am going to go out to where we hunted last spring and see if I can get one. The guy who owns the land told me he is seeing several good toms coming into the little wheat patch he planted and he also told me he has set me up a tripod that they walk within 20 yards of going into the field [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

This time of year we can take either sex, but if a hen it has to have a beard. Hopefully next weekend I will get my first turkey with a bow [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
