Piney---are cows going to have access to the plots?

Just about anything I plant for deer will also attract turkeys. I harvested a great bird off my Hamann Farms Fall mix--they were in the plot eating the green clover.

If the cattle have access to the plot then I would consider planting chufa---this is a great draw--it produced a small peanut like tuber that the turkeys will dig up and eat---my father in law who lives in Arkansas plants them every year and says the turkeys absolutely love them
